The Arizona Renaissance Festival, SciTech Festival, and Bear Essential News are holding an essay contest for Elementary/Middle and High School students promoting Student Days and Science throughout the state of Arizona!
Essay Questions:
Elementary (ages 6-12):
In 250 words or less, what impact did Galileo have on our lives today?
Middle School-High School (Ages 13-18):
In 500 words or less, how did Galileo solidify the Copernican revolution, OR How do you expect astronomy to change in the next 100 years?
Contest entries must be received by January 11th, 2012.

A set of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be selected from the 1st-6th and 7th-12th grades. First place will win admission to Student Days for his or her classroom. Second place winners will receive 4 adult and 4 child tickets* and Science Themed Books. Third place winners will receive 2 adult and 2 child tickets* and a Science Themed Book.
One entry per person. Essays will not be returned. *Tickets for Student Days or general festival. Transportation is the responsibility of the school/teacher.
